This is the last thing I want to see perched in my windowsill when I get to my house. Fu-

:iconcoughffinknail: as Altair of Assassin's Creed

This costume is awesome! It looks like the real deal, complete with working retractable blade/gauntlet (sorry, technical name from the game fails me at the mo).

A lot of <3 goes to :icon10thmuse: and my fiance Jason for posing and helping me get around the location. They did all the hard work and I just took photos :P

More photos to come over the next couple of days, just had to upload something on here as soon as I could for a sneak peek.

Crits requested, not for the costume but for the actual photograph!

What is done here is a really great exsample of visual interest while maintaining a center subject. We hear so often, Off-Tilt! Skew! Interesting angles! And, =johnsonsan has done some amazing work with angels and points. But this photograph achieves all the merits that people scream for in those angles with a classic straight on approach.

One way I think this really works and brings out the interest is the framing. Not the borders, as some might get those confused, but the actual frame the photographer used to capture her subject. Its balanced, but also it reads as a window. As a place. (Not only that, but a place the character would be, which adds to the appeal of the photo.) The lines could have easily been cut off and suddenly we wouldn't know where the subject is and this muddies the photograph.

A good photographer is aware of their surroundings and the frame. A great one works with the frame. And exceptional one makes it work FOR them.

This is certainly exceptional.
